Dermaplaning is a manual exfoliating treatment where dry dead skin cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz) is sloughed off with a surgical blade. Performed by our Certified Medical Estheticians, the treatment is painless (feels like a tickling or light brushing) and requires no downtime.

Will the hair grow back thicker or darker?
This is a common misunderstanding and the answer is no, Dermaplaning will not cause the hair to grow back thicker or darker, this is physiologically impossible.
The soft, fine vellus hair will grow back slowly – usually in about 4 weeks. (There are two types of hair that grow on our bodies:
- Vellus hair is the thin, fine, soft hair that typically covers the entire body.
- Terminal hair is the coarse hair that grows on the head, face in men, underarms, legs and pubic areas.) Dermaplaning, waxing, tweezing or any other depilatory form of hair removal cannot alter the type of hair grown in any given area.
Vellus or “peach fuzz” hairs are meant to keep us warm and provide minor sun protection. Unfortunately, they also trap dirt and prevent products from getting where you want them. It’s no wonder makeup never seems to sit quite right or last long enough for some of us.
Is Dermaplaning Right for my Skin?
Perfect for most Skin Types.
Only individuals with cystic acne or who are on Accutane are not a candidate.
This is a great treatment for clients who are pregnant or nursing that want a deep exfoliation but is not allowed to use peeling agents on the skin because of the risk that the chemicals will be absorbed into the bloodstream. It is also the first choice for clients who are prone to broken capillaries and should not do Microdermabrasion or clients who have excess vellus hair on the face.BOOK NOW
